Luke 2:11 “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
Merry Christmas to All!
The time of year is once again upon us, where we can reflect on the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ. Though Christmas is in our hearts all year long, I am reminded how this time of year people’s hearts are softened to hear of the good news of Jesus Christ. In Luke 2:17, the Bible says of the shepherds who had seen Christ’s birth, “And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told of them concerning this child.” When we find Christ, we need to spread the good news concerning this Child too. Pray for us, as we pray for you, during this Christmas Season that together we all can reach more people for Christ, and as the New Year approaches that we can bring these people into church to learn more of Him!
Thank you for praying for the Boys Home project. Sadly we announce that through petitions signed by neighbors, the city of Batesville have declined us permission to start the Boys Home work. We have now settled with the fact that God had us in this area for a different reason. We came to this area because God sent us here for this project, so since it can’t go up, we must move on. We only want to be faithful to Him and go through His open doors. Pray for the remainder month or so that we have in Batesville, that we can see some fruit as we continue to reach the community for Christ!
Our trip was postponed due to the results of the Mississippi situation. That news changed a few things! A good thing is during our time in Batesville, the laws for Guyana visas have changed a bit. We now can get in 90 days at a time, and leave for just a day in between. And we are eligible to resubmit for long term working visas late spring/early summer next year. Praise the Lord! We are going to Guyana in early February to finalize things and get housing settled. And we hope it wont be too long after, that we can return for good! WE WILL NOT QUIT!
As for TJ and Rachelle, in March they moved to our ministry in Batesville MS to serve the Lord in the Boys Home and to help get it set up. Since this can’t happen, they said they are called to this ministry wherever it is. So their journey has begun on the deputation trail to go to Guyana. They are at 8% already. They would like to get to there as quickly as they can due to their desire to serve hands on with the children. If any of you Pastors would like more info about them to consider taking them on as missionaries, please let us know. Or if you would like them to come and present their ministry in your church, either call me at the phone number to the left or call TJ at 940-389-0851. Thanks in advance!
**Don’t forget to pray about and look at your calendars to see if you can schedule an individual or church wide mission trip to Guyana next spring. Summer or Fall would be okay as well. Any type of handyman talents would help get the Childrens Home up and running. If interested please get in touch with us so we can make the accommodations.
Prayer Requests and Praises
Traveling mercies: We are getting on the road full time again, and heading to Guyana in Feb and then again full
time sometime shortly after.
For God to soften the hearts of everyone we will meet in Guyana and to prepare the hearts of the children that
will come in our care.
- For God to always meet our ministries needs: He knows what they are.
- Praise: For the peace of God that floods our souls daily!
Again, we want to wish you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a Happy New Year 2014! We pray that God blesses the Lighthouse of Hope this year abundantly, and we pray that He blesses you too! Thank you for all your prayers and all that you do for us. We enjoy serving the Lord together with you to further His Kingdom! We love you and we’re praying for you!
Serving Christ Until He Returns,
